26 October 2012: In Kilkenny District Court, on 16 October 2012, Judge Eamon O’Brien, having regard to the fact that guilty pleas were entered and the arrears of contributions were repaid to the Construction Workers Pension Scheme, struck out the summonses as against Lachen Engineering Ltd and its directors, James Coogan, Thomas Murphy and William Hennessy.
25 October 2012: In Kilkenny District Court, on 16 October 2012, Judge Eamon O’Brien issued a beach warrant for the arrest of John O’Brien, a director of Asphalt Roofing Ltd. John O’Brien with an address of 10 Loretto Park, Freshford Road, Co. Kilkenny had failed to appear in court for the sentencing of a case taken by The Pensions Board for failing to remit employee pension contributions to the trustee of the Construction Workers Pension Scheme within the statutory time limit.
25 October 2012: In Wexford Circuit Court on Thursday 4 October 2012, the appeal of Goff Developments Ltd (in liquidation) along with the directors, Francis Goff and Damien Goff was heard.
Wednesday, 26 September 2012: Today, The Pensions Board revised the timeframe for defined benefit schemes with funding deficits to submit funding proposals to the Board. This follows consideration of representations made to The Pensions Board.
28 June 2012: In Tuam District Court on Tuesday 26 June 2012, Judge Geoffrey Browne convicted and imposed a fine of €1,000 on Thomas McHugh (Kilcloghans) Limited with a registered address of Kilcloghans, Tuam, Co. Galway for failing to remit employee pension contributions to the trustee of the Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS) within the statutory time limit.
8 June 2012: Yesterday in Carrick-on-Suir District Court on Thursday 7 June 2012, Judge Finn convicted and imposed a fine of €1,000 on Owen Walsh, director of Cornerstone Homes Company Limited with a registered address of Kildalton, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny for failing to comply with a statutory request made by The Pensions Board pursuant to Section 18 of the Pensions Act 1990, to furnish certain information and documentation detailing deductions made from employees’ wages for pension scheme contributions to The Pensions Board within a specified timeframe.
