9 October 2013: Following discussions with the Department of Social Protection, The Pensions Board and the IAPF, a protocol has been agreed for the host mailing service for tracing pension members. This service is provided by the Department of Social Protection and can assist companies in tracing pension scheme members who may have moved address.
The protocol outlines the details which must be provided in order to avail of the Department’s service.
16 September 2013: The Pensions Board is holding a series of public meetings to discuss the issues contained in its recently published consultation paper on the future of defined contribution pensions.
12 September 2013: In Limerick District Court on Tuesday 10 September 2013, Judge O’Kelly convicted Raymond Neilon, a director of Gerry Neilon Scaffolding Limited, for failing to comply with a statutory request made by The Pensions Board and sentenced him to six months imprisonment.
Wednesday 28 August 2013: The Pensions Board is holding a series of public meetings to discuss the issues contained in its recently published consultation paper on the future of defined contribution pensions.
Tuesday 13 August 2013: Today, The Pensions Board published a consultation paper on defined contribution pensions as part of a review of the regulation and future structure of DC provision.
The Pensions Board office will be open on Sunday from 12 noon to 5pm to facilitate the receipt of funding proposals and any other relevant returns required by the 30 June 2013 deadline.
25 June 2013: In Midleton District Court on Thursday 20 June 2013 Judge Sheridan convicted Active Concrete Drilling Limited, a limited liability company with a registered address of Unit 14 Nordic Enterprise Park, Knockgriffin, Midleton, Co. Cork for failing to remit employee pension contributions to the trustee of the Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS) within the statutory time limit. The company was fined €1,000.
1 May 2013: In Clonmel District Court on Tuesday 16 April 2013, Judge Terence Finn convicted and imposed a fine of €1,000 on Paul Kendrick, a director of Paul Kendrick Decorators Limited, a limited liability company with a registered address at Cashel Road, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary for failing to remit employee pension contributions to the trustee of the Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS) within the statutory time limit.
19 April 2013: The Pensions Board has produced FAQs on the withdrawal of Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs).
