Tuesday 13 May 2014: From today the Pensions Authority will only accept Annual Actuarial Data Returns (AADRs) submitted by scheme actuaries electronically through ISIS.
Thursday 1 May 2014:A new facility has been added on ISIS that allows Registered Administrators (RAs) view schemes under their responsibility for which Annual Scheme Information (ASI) returns are due to be submitted. This facility also lists previous years (from the scheme year 2011 onwards) where ASI returns remain outstanding.
The Authority has issued revised statutory guidance, approved by the Minister, regarding applications to the Authority under Sections 49 and 50 of the Pensions Act.

9 January 2014: The Social Welfare and Pensions (No. 2) Act 2013 (“2013 Act”) came into force on 25 December 2013. It introduces two new wind-up priority orders and expands the type of benefit reductions which the Board may direct under section 50 of the Pensions Act 1990.
3 January 2014: The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has established a public register of European occupational pension schemes.
16 December 2013: On Thursday 5 December 2013, in Naas Circuit Court, Judge Michael O’Shea convicted and imposed an 18 month prison sentence on Eugene O’Neill, director of Swift Structures Limited (In Liquidation) with a registered address at Straffan Road, Barberstown, Maynooth, Co. Kildare for failing to remit employee pension contributions to the trustee of the Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS) within the statutory time limit. Eugene O Neill pleaded guilty to a number of counts on the indictment.
