Invitation – Consultation on the future of DC pensions
The Pensions Board is holding a series of public meetings to discuss the issues contained in its recently published consultation paper on the future of defined contribution pensions. The consultation document can be accessed here.
Future occupational pension provision in Ireland is likely to be predominantly defined contribution. The outputs from this consultation process will form an important part in the Board’s review of defined contribution provision which may ultimately lead to proposals for legislative change.
These public meetings will be an ideal opportunity for trustees, scheme members, providers, managers, advisers and other interested stakeholders to express their views and hear the alternatives as to how future defined contribution schemes could and should look in the future.
